J.G. Hollands, Adjunct Associate Professor

Justin G. Hollands is Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto, where he is also an Associate Member of the School of Graduate Studies. Dr. Hollands is Head of the Human Systems Integration Section at Defence R&D Canada – Toronto (DRDC Toronto), and has been a Defence Scientist at DRDC Toronto since 1999. His research interests include human factors, human-technology interfaces, information visualization, and perception. He was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Idaho from 1994 until 1999, where he headed the Human Factors Graduate Program. Dr. Hollands has authored or co-authored over 45 scientific articles and is co-author of Engineering Psychology and Human Performance (3rd Ed.), with Christopher Wickens. He received a PhD in psychology from the University of Toronto in 1993.
