"Scorpion" yielding brace system on Daily Planet tonight

Discovery Channel will be airing a feature story this evening on some cutting-edge research being conducted in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Toronto.
 
The segment focuses on a full-scale earthquake simulation that was conducted in our newly renovated labs as part of research on advanced earthquake damping technology for steel structures. This research was conducted by PhD student Michael Gray under the supervision of Professor Constantin Christopoulos.
 
The feature will air tonight during the Daily Planet at 7 p.m., and will repeat at 11 p.m.
