The Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering at the University of Toronto is a centre of immense inspiration, remarkable innovation and endless possibilities. Engineering at U of T was the first school in the world to offer an undergraduate degree in nanoengineering. In 2008, the Faculty ranked #1 in Canada and 8th overall among the world’s colleges and universities by the U.S. News & World Report and the Times Higher Education-QS World University Rankings.

 With approximately 4,500 undergraduate students, 1,500 graduate students, 220 professors, 300 staff and 40,000 alumni, we are the largest engineering school in Canada.

 The history of the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering is but the biography of the great men and women who have walked through its halls. In this Faculty, students and professors come together to share knowledge and benefit from a progressive environment where great ideas and innovations are born.
