As the country’s largest university, U of T offers you a wide variety of exceptional resources and facilities to utilize throughout your degree. For instance, you will have access to the University of Toronto Libraries system, the largest academic library in Canada that ranks third among peer institutions in North America, including Harvard, Yale and Columbia. The system consists of 44 libraries located on three university campuses: St. George, Mississauga, and Scarborough. This array of college libraries, special collections, and specialized libraries and information centres supports the teaching and research requirements of 168 graduate programs, 42 professional programs, and over 600 undergraduate degree programs. In addition to more than 12 million volumes in 128 languages, the library system currently provides access to close to 100,000 serial titles, 660,000 electronic journals, 850,000 electronic books, 1,100 indexes and over 5,000 online newspapers. More than 100,000 new print volumes are acquired each year.

Among other career resources available to U of T graduate students, the Faculty also offers two unique programs to help you attain your career goals:
1) Prospective Professors in Training (PPIT) Program: The goal of PPIT is to prepare soon-to-be faculty members for the rigors of holding an academic position. Seminars teach students about applying for academic positions and grants, classroom management, and advice on starting research programs.
2) Engineering Leaders of Tomorrow: Graduate(LoT:G): Organized by a group of dedicated Engineering graduate students and supported by the Faculty, LoT:G helps students reach their leadership potential through informative seminars. Past seminars include: Engineering and Ethics, How to Get Your PEng, How to Lead Your Thesis, and How to Conduct an Effective Work Search.
