Master of Clinical Engineering

Offered through the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering (IBBME) and established in 1984, the Clinical Engineering program (MHSc) weaves together the fields of engineering, life sciences, medicine and clinical application. As the first of its kind in Canada, U of T's multidisciplinary Clinical Engineering program continues to be the leading program in the country. This unique program offers a unique blend of courses, a thesis research project, and clinical internships (either in the university teaching hospitals of in the medical device industry).

General Admission Requirements

Applicants are expected to have a minimum academic standing of A- in the final two years of study, are required to have an undergraduate engineering degree and be eligible for license as a professional engineer. Please note there is no January admission for MHSc in Clinical Biomedical Engineering.
