2022 Design Your Life – Undergraduate

February 23, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm EST

About this program

The world is rapidly changing, and the economy is evolving to address society’s challenges. The Design Your Life experience will equip you with the tools and self-knowledge to find direction in this uncertainty. Design Your Life uses design thinking to address the “wicked problem” of cultivating a meaningful life and career at and beyond U of T. It was developed by two Stanford engineering professors and is now taught at the Stanford Life Design Lab. In this session, you will develop awareness of what is important to you, define three career and life prototypes, and brainstorm ideas to act on those prototypes.

Workshop Schedule for February 23, 2022

Participant Expectations and Technological Requirements

Life design is an interactive process (not a traditional lecture or webinar). You will be required to actively engage in activities and small group conversations using your personal computer’s audio and, if possible, video. The ideal learning environment is a quiet space that is free of distractions. We ask that you turn off (or silence) email and any computer/phone notifications.

We will use Zoom. Make sure to download Zoom before the program. Recording any sessions (including audio) or taking screenshots is not permitted.

Pre-work

You are required to complete pre-work to participate in this program. It will take one hour and the pre-work will be used in the live programThose who do not complete the pre-work will not be able to complete the life design process, and will not be admitted to the session.

Pre-work will be available to you on Tuesday February 1st, at 9 am EST (through Quercus – more information coming soon), and must be completed by Friday, February 18th at 11:59 pm EST.

All those who complete the pre-work, will receive a link to the session on Friday, February 18, 2022.

If you are a graduate student, please register for the graduate version of Design Your Life here:
