Engineering Strategies and Practice (ESP) Design Day

The role of engineering in society, our relationship with the environment, and the potential and importance that our work holds for people, are themes in Engineering Strategies & Practice (ESP).

During the winter term in APS112, first year engineering students focus on tackling a design project from beginning to end.  Students will learn the basics of project management, how to approach a complex problem and break it down into solvable parts, and how to acquire and use information in the design process.

This year we have 180 projects and our students have worked with a variety of different clients such as Thermofisher, UHN, City of Toronto, Toronto Fire Services, Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto Rehab Institute, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Mount Sinai Fertility, Toronto Paramedic Services, Toronto Public Libraries, Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre, and Emerson Canada, to mention a few.

As FASE staff and faculty, you are invited to attend the student final presentations and show your support!
