Black History Month at the CIE: Voices of Unity, Exploring Black History through Song

Description: Join CIE as we celebrate Black History Month through an interactive and educational workshop exploring songs and hymns centered around Black history. In collaboration with the African International Support Group, this is your chance to celebrate Black History Month through music, exploration, and community.Develop a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and musical unity. Join us in celebrating the power of music to bring people together. Whether you’re a seasoned vocalist or just love singing along to your favorite classics, this event is the interactive way to celebrate Black History.

What to Expect:

  • Start the evening with engaging and easy-to-follow vocal exercises.
  • Learn to harmonize and sing classic works of music from diverse genres through techniques fostering creativity and collaboration.
  • Enjoy a welcoming atmosphere perfect for singers of all skill levels.
  • Enjoy a Caribbean meal together and connect with your peers.
