Elevate and Navigate: Black Disabled Experiences in the Workplace

Join Accessibility Services and Career Exploration & Education to commemorate Black History Month.

Date: February 29th, 3:00-4:00 pm Location: 455 Spadina Avenue, floor 4, and livestreamed on Microsoft Teams

Our esteemed panelists, accomplished Black professionals with disabilities, will share their personal stories, challenges, and triumphs in the workplace. In-person attendees can engage directly with our panelists through a moderated discussion and live Q&A as they respond to your questions about their experiences, strategies, and the broader landscape of diversity and inclusion in the professional sphere. Online attendees may submit questions in advance using the registration form below or by emailing as.learning@utoronto.ca and will be able to follow a live stream of the event. Online attendees will not be able to submit comments or quesitons in the Microsoft (MS) Teams chat during the event. This event will be recorded and the recording will be available for registrants to view at a later date. Following the discussion, we invite in-person attendees to connect with fellow attendees during an optional networking session. Share experiences, exchange ideas, and forge new connections in a supportive environment.

Enjoy refreshments during the networking session, provided as a gesture of appreciation for your participation. Gain valuable insights into the intersection of race, disability, and professional success. Connect with like-minded individuals committed to fostering an inclusive workplace.

You can submit questions for the panelists in advance of the event via the registration form or by emailing as.learning@utoronto.ca.
