Engineering Strategies and Practice (ESP) Design Day

Tue April 16, 2024 @ 9:30 am - 6:00 pm

Engineering Strategies & Practice (ESP) is a first-year engineering design course that explores themes such as the role of engineering in society, our relationship with the environment, and the potential and importance that our work holds for people.

In APS112, students do real work for real clients, seeing a design project through from beginning to end. In learning the basics of project management, how to approach and break down complex problems, and how to execute the design process, students use ledge gained in the classroom to tackle real-world problems.

This year, ESP students worked on 190 projects with a range of clients including the City of Toronto, Toronto Fire Services, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, The Hospital for Sick Children, and St. Lawrence College, to mention a few.

You are invited to attend the final student presentations and show your support! We are looking forward to seeing you at ESP Design Day 2024!  Sessions run in the morning and the afternoon.

If you have any questions, please email esp@engineering.utoronto.ca

Registration is required for guests (i.e., alumni, staff, faculty and students not affiliated with the course). Please register by Friday, April 12.
