HK: Visit to Central Kowloon Route project

Central Kowloon Route

Experience the future of Hong Kong infrastructure
Join us for an exclusive U of T Engineering alumni visit to the Central Kowloon Route (CKR), one of Hong Kong’s most ambitious engineering projects. This 4.7km dual three-lane carriageway will link Yau Ma Tei to Kai Tak and Kowloon Bay, dramatically reducing peak-hour travel times from 30 minutes to just 5.

We’ll explore the highway and tunnel with a shuttle bus and visit the control centre to understand the advanced electrical and mechanical systems, as well as its environmental, civil and landscape engineering works.

With completion set for late 2025, this is your chance to witness Hong Kong’s infrastructure future firsthand. Space is limited—registration is first come, first served.

This event exclusively for U of T Engineering alumni. 18+. All required PPE will be provided.
