MT Black Educators’ Association — 2nd Annual Black History & Futures Celebration

February 13, 2024 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

The time is almost here to join the MT Black Educators’ Association’s 2nd annual Black History and Futures celebration on “From Yesterday to Tomorrow: Embracing our Roots, Envisioning Our Legacy.”

We are honoured to have keynote speaker Randell Adjei, Ontario’s first Poet Laureate, join us in honouring the legacies and elders of our various African and Black diasporic communities. We will celebrate by reflecting on our stories as we reclaim our futures.

During the celebration, attendees will be invited to express gratitude towards a Black elder/ancestor in their lives. If you would like to participate, please share a photo in the registration form and prepare a brief statement of gratitude (less than 1 minute) to share at the event.

Food and non-alcoholic drinks will be served. There is limited space available, so please sign up only if you are committed to attend.
