Preparing for Engineering: Grade 10 Information Day

Preparing for Engineering: Grade 10 Information Day is an in-person event designed for Ontario Grade 10 students who are beginning to explore engineering and want to make informed decisions before selecting their Grade 11 courses.

To accommodate more students, the same session will be offered twice on this date—once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Students should register for only one session, as both sessions cover identical content.

During the session, we will cover:

  • What Grade 11 and 12 courses are required to apply to engineering programs
  • Why engineering is a professional degree and what that means for future careers
  • What makes studying at U of T Engineering unique
  • How tuition, scholarships, and financial aid work
  • The role of experiential learning, including PEY Co-op

Following the presentation, students will be invited to a mix-and-mingle with U of T Engineering staff. This informal portion of the event provides an opportunity to ask questions, speak one-on-one with staff, and learn more about engineering pathways. Light refreshments will be provided.
