Start Strong – Learning Together Session 2: Set up your Assessments and Gradebook using weighting and rules

NOTE: This Learning Together event is part of our Start Strong series and builds on topics and activities from Module 3 of the Start Strong Quercus course. While not absolutely necessary to participate in the session, we encourage you enroll in the Start Strong course using the Join Code and start working on the module activities before the session.

Maintaining an organized gradebook can be challenging and time-consuming, but there are several tools in Quercus that can help you save time while supporting your course assessment and feedback strategy.

In this session, you will:

  • use Assignments, Discussions, and Quizzes to set up a course Gradebook that reflects the grading scheme on your syllabus (including weighted grading and rules to drop the lowest grade),
  • review the main grading and feedback features of SpeedGrader, and
  • review the Quercus grade posting policy to hide and release grades.

Have a question for the session moderator? Let us know if advance by submitting it in the registration form!

Can’t attend? These sessions are interactive and they will not be recorded. If you can’t make a session, and are interested in this topic, please book a consultation.

This is an online event only.
