CNMI workshop series – Electroencephalography: from the clinic to wearable devices – how to get the perfect recording and analyze your data

Dear CNMI members,

As we enter the Fall term, the CRANIA Neuromodulation Institute (CNMI) is launching the first of its workshops on neuromodulation, intended for graduate students.

The workshop titled EEG: from the clinic to wearable devices will be a hands-on workshop where students get the opportunity to gain some practical experience collecting and analyzing task-related EEG. This will be a great opportunity for participants to get an introduction to (or refresh their knowledge of) electroencephalography (EEG) and its clinical applications. Please spread the word among your trainees.

Please note that since this is a hands-on program, spaces are limited. Interested students can reach out to us at info.cnmi@utoronto.ca to sign up for the workshop.

Below are the scheduled dates and locations for the sessions.

  • Session 1: Theoretical and practical considerations for doing scalp EEG
    • Date: Friday, October 7
    • Time: 1:00 – 4:00 pm
    • Location: Mining Building room 101, The University of Toronto

  • Session 2: Wearable devices – collect task-related EEG with wearables
    • Date: Tuesday, October 18
    • Time: 1:00 – 4:00 pm
    • Location: Mining Building room 78, The University of Toronto (Design Studio, Institute of Biomedical Engineering)

  • Session 3: Data analysis
    • Date: Friday, October 21
    • Time: 9:00 – 12:00 pm
