New Resources - CPSIF funding was primarily reserved for funding one-time hardware and resource purchases to be able to fund projects worked on by student members. One such project includes a boxing game development project, worked on concurrently by 5-10 members of the team. This project includes a hardware component, where our team was developing custom-made handheld controllers. Hardware purchases for this project including small electronics for prototyping as well as printed circuit boards were funded using CPSIF funding.
Music Generator - Another large-scale project being worked on actively by members is a ambient music generator, which is a project that showcases how art and creativity can meet computing. The project aims to generate ambient music depending on a given inputted mood, and is being worked on by 10-15 members. Sub-teams met in-person frequently to spur creativity and collaboration, and CPSIF funding has been instrumental in allowing more flexibility with booking rooms and other resources.
The primary purpose of our club is to enable students to collaboratively work on large-scale creative projects. CPSIF funding entirely enabled this by allowing use to use funding to purchase materials that were/are being used in advancing the development of these projects without needed any contribution from members/students.
