Indy Bash - This year marked the third iteration of Indy Bash, our flagship social mixer. We shifted the format to a more casual setting by hosting it at a local pub, which encouraged a more relaxed and engaging atmosphere. This change led to noticeably more organic conversation and peer bonding compared to previous years. With an improved food selection and overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees, it helped foster a stronger sense of community among Industrial Engineering students across all years.
Mentorship - Our mentorship program saw a major revival this year, with over 40 first-year mentees paired with upper-year mentors making it the largest iteration in recent years. The program ran throughout the academic year and included a structured kickoff event, check-ins, and optional group activities to build rapport. This initiative played a crucial role in easing the transition for incoming students, while also strengthening leadership and interpersonal skills for upper-year participants. The increased engagement demonstrates our group’s renewed impact in fostering inter-year support within the department.
Because of CPSIF funding, we were able to offer Indy Bash at a lower rate compared to years prior as well as offering more food and refreshments at our mentorship events leading to overall more satisfaction at our events this year.
