Care Packages - In November, NourishUofT partnered with the UTSU Food Bank at Student Commons to provide food intolerance friendly care packages in food distributions. We leveraged CPSIF funding to provide gluten free, vegan, and halal food packages along with informational pamphlets to 30 food bank clients. This allowed NourishUofT to make impressions on community members and provide people with food intolerances with delicious food they can eat. While foodbank clients are anonymous, the UTSU food bank staff and volunteers appreciated being able to give clients with food intolerances nourishing meals.
Due to CPSIF funding, we were able to provide 30 UTSU food bank clients with free allergy and intolerance sensitive food. With CPSIF funding, we purchased and popcorn machine that we intend to use to provide free popcorn (an excellent gluten free, vegan, nut free snack) at our public and member social events in the coming year.
